Founder: Retroviral & Webfluential

Murray is an engineer by qualification and completed his Ph.D at 25 and joined Rand Merchant Bank on the “Class of” programme in. He left to start Retroviral, an award-winning digital agency, and after that an influencer marketing platform called Webfluential. The growth of the Creator Economy is central to his focus and product development.

His interests span product development and technology. He designed a heart valve replacement for emerging market patients, bought Bitcoin in 2013, and has a keen interest in Artificial Intelligence. He’s a dad to a seven- and nine-year-old, and husband to an events manager. He is an avid cyclist, recently completing the Cape Epic.
